WHY I'M RUNNING
I'm running for Assembly because our community needs a fighter for our values in Sacramento. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we've needed a leader who will fight tirelessly for our community, which is what I've been doing on the ground in the 68th District.
I believe that we should do all we can to protect lives and minimize the number of people who are infected by the coronavirus. That's why I’ve fought to require everyone to wear face coverings while in public. I've also distributed masks, food, and supplies to front-line health care workers and those in need, created a safe way to keep our farmers market open, and conducted wellness checks on our seniors.
I also believe that we must help people and small businesses survive the pandemic's devastating impact on our economy. This help must include financial assistance to workers who have lost their jobs, families that need help to stay in their homes, and small businesses that need help to keep their doors open and people employed. I understand the fear and insecurity that people are feeling about this economy -- I've faced these challenges myself. My family and I were hit hard in the last financial crisis.
That's why I've fought for renters' assistance, financial support for small businesses, mortgage relief, and a moratorium on evictions during the pandemic.
I'll be a leader in the Assembly who will work tirelessly to uplift our neighborhoods, working families, and small businesses as we navigate through this unprecedented time. I hope you'll join me!
Together, let’s make Orange County a better place to live, work, and raise our families!
